Ode To My Breast

When you first appeared on my chest,
I feared you'd be nothing more than a pest
Until boys looked upon you as a treasure quest
I must admit I believed you were the best --
possessing your very own power no less
Then my children built their nest
Feeding upon you and seeking their rest
Filling me with a love higher and greater than Mt. Everest
Now you fill me with fear and duress
as cancer has invaded, making quite a mess
Soon you'll be no more --
Just a silicone globe as my guest
And even though I may jest,
I will miss you dear breast
Surely no one but I can attest
we've had a great ride -- a wonderful fest

  2. I don't know whether to laugh or cry... I've wanted to email and ask how you're doing, but I know you're swamped with email, calls and a million other things. Know that you're in my thoughts and prayers. You're an amazing woman!

  3. I join my prayers and light to thousands of others to surround you, but we all are still not even close to the light and love of God who loves you as His/Her own dear child.
