Chakra Balancing

If you're feeling a little tired, unbalanced and stressful, try a chakra balance.  Choose 7 chakra stones --

Root -- red jasper, red tiger's eye, garnet
Sacral -- carnelian, amber
Solar Plexus -- citrine, yellow chalcedony, yellow jasper
Heart -- green aventurine, emerald, watermelon tourmaline, malachite, rose quartz
Throat -- blue lace agate, celestite, blue chalcedony
Third Eye - sodalite, labradorite, lapis
Crown -- amethyst, sugalite

Place the crystal on its corresponding chakra and, beginning with the root chakra, breathe in each color.  So for the root chakra, breathe in red.  Then breathe in orange, yellow, green, light blue, dark blue, purple and finally white.  Then bring your attention back to your root chakra.  Picture a red fan spinning.  Imagine flooding it with ruby red light.  See any dirt or debris coming off the red fan as it spins faster and faster.  Do the same with the orange fan, yellow fan and so on.  Make sure each fan is the same size and spinning in the same direction.

When you're finished with this imagery, just lay with the stones on your chakras for about 20 minutes.  Finally see yourself encased in a beautiful white light.  When you're ready, slowly take the stones off starting with the root chakra stone and finishing with the crown chakra.

Making Crystal Sprays

Crystal Sprays are a wonderful way to cleanse, charge and enhance your energy.  You can make all different types of crystal sprays for a variety of reasons.  One of my favorite crystal sprays is a ROSE QUARTZ spray.  All you have to do is pour distilled water in a glass bowl, drop a rose quartz or two in the water and place this in the sun to charge for 4 – 6 hours.  Then pour this (including the rose quartz) into a spray bottle.  Hold the bottle in your hands and ask the water and the crystal to bring a loving vibration into everything it touches.  Feel free to add essential oils of your choosing. Then spray this in your home, your car, office, on plant and on yourself.

I make a spray that I call Angel Spray because I always ask the angels to add their own sparkle of love and light to each spray bottle.  I add frankincense, myrrh, lavender and different varieties of sage.  Then I add several crystals representing each of the seven chakras.  I also charge it with each of the Reiki symbols.  I use the spray to cleanse my office before and after each reading.  I use it to quickly cleanse my house when I don’t have time to sage it.  And I use it each morning with my daughters.  Right before we leave for school, I spray the Angel Spray all around them and ask their angels to fly ahead of them to ensure they have a safe and happy day.

Make your own spray today.  Pick out your crystals based on what kind of energy you’re focusing on.  For example:

Green Aventurine – Prosperity
Citrine – Success
Rhodocrosite – Forgiveness
Apophylite – Meditation
Black Tourmaline – Protection

Place it in a bowl filled with holy or distilled water.  Add essential oils.  Pray over the water and ask the stones, your guides and angels to bring their loving energy and vibration into the water and then add to your spray bottle.  Add a little vodka to make your spray bottle last a bit longer.  Don’t add rubbing alcohol; the smell will overpower everything! Experiment and have fun.

Doc's Rocks

I was in the mountains vacationing with the family this weekend and got to visit a great gem mining place that I highly recommend.  It's called Doc's Rocks and is located just passed Tweetsie Railroad in Boone.  We found large pieces of rose quartz, black tourmaline, smoky quartz, amethyst, citrine, ruby, garnet and emerald.  After we were done mining, a gentleman took us inside and taught the children about each rock -- where it's found and how it's formed.  I spoke at length with the owner, a retired Army ranger, who has an impressive personal collection of large "rocks" that he found throughout his world travels.  He had a huge piece of malachite that he discovered in Hawaii.  His wife's wedding ring was cut by him from a diamond he discovered in Africa.  Now his mission is to educate people, kids especially, on the importance of rocks and fossils.  He said, "I believe every rock serves a purpose."   I told him I couldn't agree more.

Here's the purpose of the stones we found today:

Rose Quartz: The Love Stone.  Helps people suffering from emotional trauma.
Black Tourmaline: Very protective and grounding.  Prevents the wearer from taking on other people's "stuff."
Smoky Quartz: Absorbs depression and sadness in the wearer. Helps protect soldier on active duty.  Eases stomach, liver and pancreas upsets.  Known as a good luck talisman.
Amethyst: The spiritual stone.  A must have for anyone.  This powerful and amazing stone helps one seeking a deeper and more meaningful spiritual life.  Fight addictions of any kind.  Eases stress and anxiety.  Great for meditation.
Citrine: The success stone.  Helps the wearer attract and hold onto money.
Ruby: I wrote about this stone at length in my July newsletter, but basically Ruby helps increase our passion for life. Aids initiative. Helps root chakra issues.
Garnet: Protects against sadness.  Improves self-esteem.  Fight skin disorders.  Increases physical vitality.
Emerald: Helps cure insomnia. Powerful healer.  Works on heart chakra. Strengthens memory.

Remember, it takes a crystal at least two weeks to attune its energetic vibration with yours.  Crystals work slowly at first, but they do work.
